The overpopulation of unwanted animals is a serious problem in any area. To help this problem, the City of Yuma asks that all pet owners have their pets spayed or neutered. Also, A.R.S. 11-1022 requires that all animals adopted from a shelter facility be spayed or neutered. To assist with this effort, the Humane Society, in conjunction with local veterinarians, sponsors a reduced rate program to spay or neuter pets.
