The Communications Team

Communications staff is responsible for the City's internal and external messaging. Staff strives to be proactive, transparent and to provide consistent and timely information to the public. The team maintains a positive relationship between the City and residents.

Internally, the Communications Team collaboratively with departments to develop community and education outreach and to promote City services, activities, programs, and events.

Areas of responsibility include:

  • Public Information
  • Media Relations
  • Digital Communications (social media, website, etc.)
  • Graphic Design
  • Yuma Festivals
  • Video & Photo Production

There are several ways residents can find out what is happening at the City, including:

Newspaper iconNews: News releases are distributed via e-mail and posted on the News section of the City's website. If you would like to be added to the City's news release distribution list send us an e-mail.

TV iconTelevision, video, and Teams: Cable television channels 73 and 72 and our online, on-demand video streams feature meetings and work sessions of the City Council as well as local programs such as Charlemos Yuma. Residents can also watch Council meetings remotely via Teams.
