The City of Yuma Animal Control Services Unit is dedicated to providing the citizens of Yuma with the best possible service related to animals and the care of animals. The Animal Control Services Unit responds to calls of animals disturbing, animals running at large, animal cruelty cases, injured animals, animal bites and a host of other situations involving domesticated animals.

Our Animal Control Officers receive specialized training in animal safety, handling and apprehension techniques, disease control, and investigation techniques.

Hours of Operation

Animal Control Officers are on duty from 7:30 am to 9:00 pm 7 days a week to include weekends and holidays. During periods when there are no Animal Control Officers on duty, an on-call Animal Control Officer is available for animal related emergencies such as injured animals or bite cases.

The Animal Control Administration Office is open from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm excluding weekends and holidays.
