The Forensic Services Unit consists of a Forensic Services Supervisor, Forensic Technicians and Video Analysts.  The Forensic Services Division aspires to provide high quality, accurate, objective, and timely forensic science examinations, including biometric analysis, video analysis, and crime scene processing services. It is our mission to thoroughly support the successful prosecution of crimes using proper methodologies, case prioritization, transparency, and teamwork with other bureaus and divisions inside and outside our agency. 

We respond to major crimes and gather photographic, biological, and physical evidence.  Fingerprints are compared by our Forensic Technicians, who have resources such as the Arizona Automated Fingerprint Identification System, a statewide biometric database. Video is gathered from various sources, processed, enhanced, and released to local media to assist in the identification of suspects.
