Field Operations' primary function is to provide inspections for all construction within the City's rights-of-way.  This ensures the highest standards of quality construction are achieved for City CIP projects, residential subdivision development, and private development permit inspections.  

In addition, Field Operations staff provides traffic management review and support during construction, and oversees the quality of materials used for construction within the city's rights-of-way through the sampling and testing of materials by contracted vendors.

The goal of Field Operations staff is to provide technical and operational support for CIP and private development projects by inspecting in accordance with the project's approved plans and the City's Construction Standards and permit requirements.  Field Operations essentially has oversight of the construction of all infrastructure in the City.
