HOME MenuCurrent Planning
Planning plays a vital role in the City of Yuma. While long-range planners maintain the vision for growth and development for Yuma, current planners help to guide that vision, along with assisting residents, business owners, and developers to move forward with their development goals. Whether it is adding a shade structure to a single family home or the development of vacant property, current planners help move applicants through the process as seamlessly as possible.
The current planning staff has responsibilities which include:
- Administering the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance and specific plans;
- Attending Pre-Development meetings;
- Providing customers with information related to permitted and conditional uses by zoning district;
- Providing and implementing information regarding the city’s development standards such as parking, landscaping, setbacks, and signage;
