Each year more than 250,000 people visit Yuma to experience the sights, sounds, tastes, and heritage of this very unique and historic place.

The City of Yuma celebrates the community's unique history by hosting events throughout the year. These festivals feature activities for all ages, and attract thousands of visitors into the Yuma community.

9/11 Memorial 20th Anniversary

  • Date: 09/11/2021 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM  

The City of Yuma Fire Department would like to invite the community to gather for our 9/11 Memorial 20th Anniversary Ceremony. It will be a time to remember all 343 brothers and sisters we lost that day trying to save others who gave the ultimate sacrifice, their lives.

There is going to be a 5K Run that will be raising funds for the Tunnels to Towers Foundation Charity. We will have community performances, cold refreshments, face painter for the children and event shirts proceeds raised for the United Yuma Firefighters Association. #uniquelyyuma

Time: 6:30 am Registration
Start/Finish Location: Heritage Library lawn
Fee: $25 (Funds to benefit the Tunnel to Towers Foundation Charity)
Pre Registration: Parks and Recreation office Once City Plaza

20th Anniversary Memorial Ceremony scheduled to start at 9:00 am at Fire Station #1.
