For those customers who do not wish to register online, the Parks & Recreation Department has made several of our programs and activities registration forms available to download, print, and complete prior to submission.

• Registration forms are available in the Parks and Recreation Office and on the City of Yuma website: yumaaz.gov/parksandrec.
• Online registration is available here (Some programs are not available for online registration.) Please verify your online profile information when registering. 
  To verify your address within City Limit, click here. Please call 928.373-5200 to confirm your address and see if you qualify for city resident credit, before you pay for a class.

The City of Yuma Parks and Recreation Department has many ramadas available in our parks for public use.

For reservations, please download the RESERVATION AGREEMENT FORM, fill it out, and then email it to parksandrec@yumaaz.gov.

The Parks and Recreation Facility Committee meets weekly to review facility requests. Please turn in your completed form at least ten days prior to the date requested. We are also available to meet with groups to discuss event logistics and share our experience to assist in a successful outcome for most types of events. Please contact us to request a meeting.

Ramadas are available to the public on both a ramada reservation system and on a first-come, first served basis when not otherwise reserved.

Parks, Arts, Recreation & Trails Master Plan

The Parks, Arts, Recreation and Trails (PART) Master Plan is a comprehensive, community driven guide that will provide a framework for decision making of the planning, development and maintenance of Yuma’s parks, arts, and recreation amenities, facilities, and programs. The plan will be concise, adaptive, and actionable with clear implementation strategies for both short- and long-term needs. The plan with prioritize projects and identify funding sources for citywide improvements over the next 10-years.

The ordinance changes the default closing time for City parks from 11 p.m. to 9 p.m., noting that many park facilities do not have lighting appropriate or sufficient for safe use after dark. However, those parks which have amenities designed for nighttime use will continue to be open until 11 p.m. It also provides staff the flexibility to open parks for events or activities by permit outside those normal posted hours.

The ordinance became effective on Friday, August 16.
