32nd Street Reconstruction, Avenue A Area

Avenue A will be closed to all traffic in both directions between 32nd Street and Holly Drive. Through traffic should detour using 8th Avenue or 4th Avenue, taking 28th Street or 24th Street to rejoin Avenue A. Estimated duration of this closure is 4 weeks.

City of Yuma Street Maintenance

City workers will conduct crack seal operations the week of Tuesday, May 29 in the following locations:

  • Parkway Place subdivision
  • Villa Hermosa subdivision
  • Pecan Grove subdivision
  • 33rd Drive from 24th Street to 28th Street
  • 24th Street from Avenue A to 4th Avenue

Avenue C, 8th Street to 1st Street and Figueroa - Yuma County

Yuma County is widening Avenue C from 8th Street to Figueroa Street and 1st Street and installing a City Of Yuma water main. Avenue C is closed to through traffic between 8th Street and 5th Street; a temporary surface is in place there. On the north side of the project, the section between Riverside Drive and Figueroa Street is open to local traffic only. Through traffic should detour using 8th Street and Avenue B to 1st Street.

26th Street West of Araby Road

The week of June 4-8, a contractor working on the Yuma Police Department substation project will be working on 26th Street, closing down one side of the median at a time. Traffic will simply be shifted to the open side of the median.

23rd Drive Between 26th Street and 28th Street - Yuma County

For a seven-day period between now and June 15, 23rd Drive will be closed between 26th Street and 28th Street to install a fire line tie-in.

Avenue 3E at Aldrich Street

Southbound Avenue 3E motorists will experience lane restrictions and speed limit reductions in the vicinity of Aldrich Street, where a private contractor will install a sewer pipeline. Work is expected to complete by mid-July.

Engler Avenue Water Main Extension, 16th St. to Calle Chapalla

Work is nearly complete on the Engler Avenue waterline installation project extending south from 16th Street. Remaining valve installations will not affect traffic significantly.
