05/14/2012 | Sgt. Clint Norred, Patrol
The City of Yuma Police Department is hosting a groundbreaking ceremony at 6390 East 26th Street, the future site of the first official police substation.
Chief of Police John Lekan said,” The Yuma Police Department is excited about this substation providing the platform that will allow us to expand on the police services provided to the Yuma community".
The Yuma Police Department has historically worked from a single headquarters building, but we look forward to expanding services to the eastern part of the city. The Yuma Police Department serves the community 24-7, 365 days a year. Last year the Yuma Police Department responded to over 75,000 calls for service.
