Update - Attempted Homicide - 1946 South Walnut Avenue

On Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at 9:48 am, Yuma Police Officers responded to Walnut Avenue Trailer Park, 1946 S. Walnut Avenue, in reference to a shooting.

The investigation revealed that a group of people were in the trailer park when the victim, Guss Kasper 47 years old of Yuma, was shot once in the back. The group fled the scene prior to police arrival and Kasper was transported to the Yuma Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. Kasper remains hospitalized.

The Yuma Police Department believes Carlos Arellano, 24 years old, was a member of the group that fled. The other identities remain under investigation, but police detectives are seeking any information about their identities and Arellano’s whereabouts.
