Four Month Project to Begin this Friday, July 6th
The City of Yuma Parks and Recreation Department is starting construction of a new restroom, concession, and storage facility at Friendship Park located at Avenue A and 34th Place.
Beginning Friday, July 6, 2012, the restroom at Friendship Park will be closed and Desert Hills Sun Tennis Courts will be without lights. It is anticipated that lighting for the tennis courts should be restored by Monday, July 16, 2012.
Construction of the new restroom and concession facility will take approximately four months and is expected to be complete by early November 2012. The Desert Sun Tennis Courts and the water feature at Friendship Park will remain open throughout the construction period. Portable restrooms are being installed at the site for user convenience and will be available during construction.
