Fatality Hit and Run Collision - 3800 Block West 24th Street UPDATED

On Tuesday, July 03, 2012 at 4:21 am, the Yuma Police Department responded to a man down in the 3800 block West 24th Street.

The victim, identified as 19 year old Christopher Humbert, was located in the roadway and pronounced dead at the scene. The initial investigation revealed the subject was struck by an unknown vehicle between approximately 4:00am and 4:21 am.

Evidence at the scene indicates the vehicle involved may be a 2002 or newer full sized Dodge pickup. The vehicle may be grey or a light color. The vehicle had a front license plate of an American flag and bald Eagle and may have damage in the center of the front bumper, grill and hood. The investigation continues.
