Assault at Roosevelt Elementary School

On Thursday, June 21st 2012, at 6:34 pm, Yuma Police Officers were dispatched to Roosevelt Elementary School at 550 W. 5th Street, reference to an assault.
The investigation revealed a 48 yr old female teacher had just started to walk in to a building on school grounds when two unknown males approached her and struck her in the mouth with an unknown object. The suspects left the area prior to police arrival.
The victim received minor injuries and was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center as a precaution.
The suspects are described as: Hispanic males approximately 15 years of age and approximately 5’7 with thin builds, one wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans, and the other wearing a red shirt and blue jeans.
