5K Moonlight Run and Fun Walk Results

On Friday, October 5, 2012 the 5K Moonlight Run and Run Walk kicked off the 2012-2013 series.  A record breaking 561 participants turned out for the event!

Moonlight Run participants were broken up into male and female categories by age group: 9 and under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79 and 80+. Medallions are awarded to gold, silver and bronze winners in each age group.

About the Winter Run and Fun Walk Series

At the end of the five-run-series, individuals with the highest number of points in each age bracket (the winner must have participated in more than one race) will receive a plaque and every fun walker that has participated in all five events also receives a plaque. At each event the first place finisher receives 20 points, second place receives 15 points, third place receives 10 points and the remaining participants receive five points.

There are a total of five races in the Winter 5K and 10K Run and Fun Walk Series:

• Turkey Trot
  Saturday, November 17 at 8:15 a.m., Gateway Park. 
• Reindeer Round-Up
  Saturday, December 15 at 8:15 a.m., West Wetlands Park.
• New Year's Resolution Run
  Saturday, January 5 at 8:15 a.m., West Wetlands Park.
• Great Yuma Road Race
  Saturday, February 2 at 8:15 a.m. 15th St. and 4th Ave. (Please note new date.)
• March On
  Saturday, March 9 at 8:15 a.m. West Wetlands Park.
