Get ready to trek across Yuma in the Great Yuma Road Race! Whether you are an avid runner, jogger or walker, the 5K and 10K Run and Fun Walk Series is great fun!

Race start line will be at the corner of 4th Avenue and 15th Street on the east side empty lot, and the finish will be at Gateway Park, in Yuma, Arizona.

Medals

Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be given to male and female winners after each race. 5 Star Walker (New) - Participants who participate in 5 of the 6 runs (Moonlight Run included) will receive a plaque at the end of the series. 2012 City Champion - Winners will be determined by awarded points to participants who successfully complete at least three of the City sponsored series of 5K or 10K runs. Participants may not transfer points from a 5K or 10K run. Award is given at the end of the run series.

Course Description

Most of the course will be run on paved and groomed trails, but sometimes the course may be rugged with graveled areas. Heavy duty strollers, such as jogging strollers are highly recommended for those participants that have small children with them.

The Great Yuma Road Race starts on 4th Ave and 15th Street Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 8:15am BEFORE the Silver Spur Rodeo Parade. The race precedes the parade route, then continues down across 1st Street and ends at Gateway Park. Parking is limited at the beginning and end of the race.  Shuttles will be available at the END of the race to take participants back to the empty lot by Harbor Freight on 16th Street.

Admission

Age divisions for both male and female participants: (as of October 5, 2012) 9 and under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, and 90 and over.

Pre-registration is CLOSED. On-site registration and bib pick up starts at 7:00 am and closes at 8:00 am. The fee for on-site registration is $22.
