Have you ever dreamed of some change to Yuma that could really make our city great?  If you could reshape Yuma, what would it look like?  Let your ideas flow and share them with us!

I'm dreaming of a Yuma...

  • where the city, businesses, & private property owners keep a high level of maintenance and care to reflect a high level of pride in their city
  • where the city is graffiti free (any graffiti is covered within 24 hours with paint that matches the wall, so it disappears)
  • where all city staff notes violations while in the field and report concerns to appropriate department to resolve
  • where the traffic in the city flows easily without congestion
  • with more wind and solar power used
  • with an event center
  • with more law enforcement
  • with a paved, lit and striped parking lot and wrought iron fencing along Arroyo Dunes Golf Course
  • with no additional railroad at the port of entry
  • with other amenities for walking paths
  • with a city gathering place
  • with signs directing and highlighting Roxaboxen Park
  • with laws for enforcing illegal dumping
  • with more solar energy used to supply power to government and commercial buildings
  • with a vibrant downtown
  • with no urban sprawl
  • with turbines for wind energy
  • with higher teacher salaries
  • where county pockets located within city limits have been annexed
  • with a greater focus on senior activities
  • with an ice skating rink
  • with more occupational explanation for youth
  • with an exceptional education environment in and out of school
  • with a more accurate and comprehensive newspaper
  • with more major league baseball exhibition games
  • with no significant increase in size
  • with more of a focus on children
  • with garbage being recycled instead of deposited at a landfill
  • with recycling programs
  • with photo cameras to stop red-light runners
