Garbage Collection & Recycling

The Solid Waste Division is responsible for solid waste pick up to approximately 20,290 residential and commercial customers.

In addition, this Division is responsible for the recycling and environmental programs such as the annual Neighborhood Clean Up Campaign, Christmas Tree Recycling Program, Adopt-A-Street and the Yuma Area Household Hazardous Waste Events.

The Solid Waste Division provides regularly scheduled residential curbside and uncontained waste services for all residents, public schools, public buildings and large institutions within the City of Yuma perimeter.  Curbside collections are done twice weekly, while bulk waste is collected once per year.

To Request Collection Services

To request residential or public collection services for a specific address, you may fax or mail your request to the City of Yuma Public Works Department. Please mark all requests "Attention: New Service" and include the following information:

• Full address of the premises;
• Full name and telephone number of contact person

You will be notified of the scheduled start date of services, as well as collection days. For additional information, or to request service directly over the phone, please call the City of Yuma Public Works Department
