It's About Keeping The Public Safe

On behalf of the 266 dedicated employees of the Yuma Police Department, thank you for taking the time to visit our web site. The site is designed to be informative, user friendly, and to provide another link of communication with members of our community.

Located in the southwest corner of Arizona bordering California, Yuma is a popular destination for tourists, winter visitors, and is a great place to live. With a population of approximately 90,000 and approximately 50,000 visitors in the winter months, Yuma is the largest city in Arizona outside the metro areas of Phoenix and Tucson. The City of Yuma encompasses 112 square miles and is recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the sunniest place on earth, with 339 sunny days a year and less than four inches of rainfall annually.
